What are Groups on Glymp?
Groups on Glymp are local groups built around an interest, like dance, art, books, business, study or running. Members join a group and make plans together, from a Sunday sketch walk to a study session, so there are always people nearby to go with.
I don't know anyone in my area. Can I still join?
Yes, that's exactly who Groups are for: people who are new to an area, or whose friends don't share an interest. Join a group, see what it's planning, and go to a plan when one suits you.
Can anyone start a group?
Yes. Anyone on Glymp can start a group around an interest, choose whether it's public or private, and create plans for its members.
What's the difference between a public and a private group?
Anyone can find and join a public group. A private group is for its members only, so its plans stay among its members.
What are plans in a group?
Plans are the things a group does together: a meetup, a practice session, a walk, a workshop. Members can create plans and see who else is going.
How do I stay safe meeting new people through a group?
For your first few plans, pick ones at public places, tell a friend where you're going, and leave whenever you like. If anything feels off, report it to the Glymp team at support@glymp.app.
